Hey Rollie,

Just memorise this table you'll be fine.

KPH is displayed here in increments of 5 units at a time so just use interpolation for other numbers.

So for example when you're riding behind a truck and your speedo indicates 137KPH, you'll have recalled from the table that you memorised, MPH figures for 135KPH and 140KPH as 83.9 and 87 respectively. So just do a quick mental calculation :

(87-83.9) divided by (140-135)
which is 3.1 divided by 5
which is 0.62
now multiply this by 2 since you want 2 units above the 135 equivalent which you memorised
0.62 x 2 is 1.24
now just add this 1.24 to the MPH equivalent for 135KPH which is 83.9MPH
so, 83.9 + 1.24 = 85.14 MPH

This is probably over the speed limit on a smallish road. I recommend learning the table well so that you can convert speeds effectively without too much effort.

KPH     MPH
5         3.1
10       6.2
15       9.3
20       12.4
25       15.5
30       18.6
35       21.7
40       24.8
45       28
50       31.1
55       34.2
60       37.3
65       40.4
70       43.5
75       46.6
80       49.7
85       52.8
90       55.9
95       59
100      62.1
105      65.2
110      68.4
115      71.5
120      74.6
125      77.7
130      80.8
135      83.9
140      87
145      90.1
150      93.2
155      96.3
160      99.4

Hold down sel and adj button for three seconds, the first menu is where you can adjust your tyre radius mine is set at 1760 and is GPS accurate, keep on pressing sel until you get to the next screen which is KPH/MPH adjust as required next is pulse setting which should 1 and 9 dont mess with this, press sel to exit setup and you should be good to go
