Depleted battery
« on: June 08, 2011, 05:24:42 AM »
Hey guys

Got the 2011 Megelli 250R here.

Had a hard time starting the bike because haven't ridden it for about a week and the temp here is around 4 C. As a result, the battery is depleted from turning over.

Tried push starting to no avail so the only solution I have is to take the battery out and trickle charge it. However, the manual does not say where the battery is. Anybody know how to remove the battery?

Thanks

The battery is under the tank.
u need to:
remove the rear seat.
undo the wing nut
remove front seat
undo the 2 bolts that are shown when u remove the front seat
Remove the matt black panels under the tank both sides
Lift the tank at the point where u took out the 2 bolts (it pivots on the opposite end)
and its right there.
thanks!

Hi,

I have a 2009 Megelli, your comments really helps, unfortunately I couldn't remove the tank, afraid that the fuel will spill all over.
Can anyone suggest how should I proceed.
At the moment I still couldn't remove the battery
Thanks

Ary
